CHAPTER 1

Everyone seems to be either interested in how DJ and I met or else just want to know how we could have dated for three months and married so soon...

Well, our story, if told maybe a year into our marriage, many could make the quick assumption that 'it wouldn't last' or 'we'll be divorced within another year'! Ironically, we never heard any of the negative assumptions...again, we never shared our story unless we were asked and now that we've been married for over eight years, we can proudly say that we are just a small percentage of couples within our generation, that wanted to get married as early as we did.

We met on February 14th and was married on May 11th. We dated for three months, but were physically together for a little less than three weeks! DJ was in the military at the time and was always away for training....
